PEEK can be used at very high temperatures (around 260 °C) and has extraordinary mechanical strength, toughness, stiffness, flexural and torsional strength. PEEK exhibits excellent chemical resistance, good dielectric properties up to 260°C and good resistance to all types of radiation (UV light causes only a slight yellowing). PEEK has the self-extinguishing performance of UL94.
